ShopandBox is a peer-to-peer personal shopping service which was founded in November 2013. By seamlessly connecting Shoppers with Boxers (Personal Shoppers) based on shopping interests and geographical location, we make shopping around the world for ANYTHING you want possible. Whether you’re looking to buy limited edition items that won’t make it to your part of the world, or it’s something you saw a few months ago whilst travelling and cannot get out of your head, or products that you know are cheaper elsewhere, ShopandBox provides a platform to help give Shoppers a personalized and unique shopping experience.

ShopandBox has Boxers in more than 20 countries and these ‘shopping pals’ are avid shopaholics who help our growing base of Shoppers from more than 100 countries shop like a local anywhere in the world.

MEET OUR FOUNDERS

Xin-lung Tai

CEO

As CEO, Xin drives the company’s vision of providing a service where you can shop across the globe without any barriers. Xin left his career in management consulting that had taken him across US, Australia and Asia and decided to create a business which solved the pain of not being able to shop for anything, whenever he wanted, at the price he wanted to pay. His dream is becoming a reality as ShopandBox has expanded to serve Shoppers from more than 146 countries.

Rebecca Chia

CMO

Rebecca leads marketing and outreach efforts at ShopandBox. She met Xin while studying in Melbourne. Rebecca sees ShopandBox as allowing people the opportunity to fabricate their own unique worlds with beautiful products, limited edition items and special finds from across the globe. She envisions ShopandBox as being the go-to platform for ANYONE who wants to shop for ANYTHING. She loves the idea that you can now have ‘Shopping Pals’ all over the world.

Louis Tan

CTO

Louis is CTO of ShopandBox and was a fellow high-school mate of Xin’s. When it comes to startups, he is the man. Having spent some years at San Jose State University and running with the Silicon Valley crowd, Louis is passionate about building online marketplaces. He is dedicated to making sure that ShopandBox gives Shoppers and Boxers the best possible platform to interact on and is always busy dreaming up the next new feature to introduce to our users.
