When Nathan Clark decided to handmake a batch of marshmallows for his wife to curb her sugar cravings, little did he know that this endeavour would result in a successful gourmet marshmallow company five years later.

“I still remember the first time a friend asked to order some of our marshmallows. It was a huge “Aha!” moment for us. We loved these marshmallows. So did our friends. Why wouldn’t everyone?” he said. “So we spent a year perfecting our recipes. We spent that year perfecting our processes. Wondermade marshmallows isn’t your everyday “gourmet” marshmallow brand that offers a range of flavours. Firstly, it only uses all-natural cane sugar (no corn syrups or any other form of sweetener) in all its products. Kosher gelatin is added for its texture, along with a host of flavours such as bourbon and peppermint chocolate for eclectic, seasonal creations.

The brand prides themselves to only using all-natural ingredients in its fluffy cubes—no artificial dyes included. “It is easier to make marshmallows with corn syrups. But we’re in the business of superior marshmallows, not easier-for-us marshmallows,” says Clark. “So we’re more than willing to take extra steps to deliver extra good mallows.”
