Brand Spotlight: MYLE, Your Solution To A Cluttered Home

If you’ve always tried to make a conscious effort to de-clutter, but only to find that your space remains messier than ever, today’s brand spotlight is made for you. Australian-based home organisation label MYLE has three unique products that will make your home (and life, pretty much) more streamlined. We had a quick chat with co-founders Violeta and Sharas on tips to de-clutter your home while keeping it chic and photo-worthy:

1. Give us a brief background of MYLE and what made you decide to launch the brand?

My husband and I moved multiple times in the past several years—most of the time, we lived in an apartment where storage space was always an issue. After trying several home organisation products, we realised that none of it solve our problems. We wanted a simple yet stylish way to de-clutter our home but since we couldn’t find any, we decided to make our own! That’s how MYLE was born.

MYLE stands for “Make Your Life Easier”. We pride ourselves with helping customers live a less stressful, healthier and happier life by de-cluttering their home. We offer home organisation products which solve the real problems we previously experienced.

2. What are the bestselling products right now on the site?

At the moment we have three products and our bestseller is a Bedside Caddy.

3. Tell us more about the idea behind the Nappy Caddy and Bedside Caddy?

We love reading books or watching documentaries before we go to sleep. We didn’t have space for a bedside table so we placed our books, phones and laptops on the floor. We found that having it on the floor made our bedroom look messy—once I accidentally stepped on my phone at night and cracked the screen!

We reached a point where we needed a solution to keep our items neatly organised without buying a bedside table. After some research we found a bedside caddy which we’ve never heard of. All existing products were poor quality and/or come in unappealing designs, so we decided to make our own. We wanted a bedside caddy that would suit most home interiors, but at the same time be durable and could hold all essentials like laptop, books, phone, iPad and more.

Most of our friends and family who have babies find changing nappies a struggle. They found it difficult to lug everything they needed for nappy changing time around the house. A lightweight organiser that could be carried around the house seemed like a great idea to solve this problem. We had a lot of feedback from mums about how they love the nappy caddy and how it makes nappy changing time much easier. Some of customers also take our nappy caddy on car trips and use it in picnics.

4. Are MYLE products made in Australia as well?

Our products are currently made overseas but we’re looking for ways how to mass produce it here in Australia. We look at our existing products and try to find ways to improve it.

5. What are some home organisation tips you can share with our Shoppers?

My best advice would be: don’t accumulate stuff you don’t use and have a dedicated place for all items. I find the best practice to keep your home tidy and organised is to always put items back where they belong. A lot of people have the habit of placing items randomly and only tidying it up after some time. Why not to take that extra couple of seconds to place it back where it belongs? You will be surprised how this make your home look more organised.

I also would advise to dedicate one day, twice a year to go through each drawer and wardrobe. Check all items in there and ask yourself, “Will I be using or wearing it any time soon?” If the answer is “no” or “maybe one day”, you don’t need it! Collect everything that you won’t use and give it to people who need it more than you do or sell on online if you must. Not only will it make you feel better, but your home will be clutter-free. Less is always more! 😊

6. A go-to tip to de-clutter work spaces quickly?

Refrain from keeping paper documents on the table. It tends to look very messy. Instead, have three document drawers with these labels – Urgent, To-do and Done. Also, use a white board instead of sticky notes. It is not only environment friendly, but also helps keep your work space tidy.

7. Who do you follow on Instagram for home décor inspirations?

I follow quite a few great accounts but my favourite at this moment would be Bel of @bfree_style, Rachel of @house_of_o.u.r.s, Liz of @liz.amaya.style and Tara of @coco.camellia_. I love minimalistic, Scandinavian style with soft colours and I was lucky enough to collaborate with a few of them.

8. What are your plans for MYLE in the near future? Any new products you are working on right now?

We are big dreamers and one day we imagine our shop to be a one-stop shop for all home organisation solutions. At the moment we are working on a new product that will help people who love travelling to stay clutter-free in their car. Stay tuned!
